Easter

$18.00

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are excited to share that in our upcoming English Language Arts (ELA) lesson, we will be integrating faith-based learning as we explore the meaning of Easter through Bible study and literacy activities. Our goal is to help students strengthen their reading comprehension, writing skills, and understanding of the Easter story from a biblical perspective.

Lesson Overview:

  • Bible Verses Studied: Students will read and discuss key Bible verses related to Easter, such as Matthew 28:6 ("He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.") to understand the significance of Jesus’ resurrection.

  • Reading & Comprehension Activity: Students will complete a Main Idea & Details graphic organizer to summarize the Easter story.

  • Writing & Reflection Activity: Younger students (Grades 2-3) will draw a picture and write a sentence about Easter, while older students (Grades 4-5) will write a short paragraph explaining what Easter means to them, using at least one Bible verse.

Faith-Based Extension Activities:

To deepen students’ connection to the lesson, we will also engage in optional faith-based activities such as an Easter acrostic poem, storytelling, and creative writing prompts.

We encourage you to discuss Easter with your child at home and explore how this important event impacts our faith. If you have any questions or would like to provide additional support, please feel free to reach out.

Thank you for your partnership in your child’s learning and faith journey.
